The Member of Parliament for Ofoase/Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has reiterated the Minority’s dedication to thoroughly examining the 2025 national budget to ensure it delivers maximum benefits to Ghanaians.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated budget presentation by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Oppong Nkrumah emphasized the crucial role of Parliament in evaluating government commitments, programs, and corresponding budgets to ensure their effectiveness and sustainability.
“The primary responsibility of Parliament is to critically assess the government’s financial plans and policies, ensuring that they align with the best interests of the people,” Oppong Nkrumah stated.
The former Information Minister further stressed that the Minority will remain vigilant in holding the government accountable, ensuring that all promises made to the Ghanaian people are fulfilled.
