Ghana midfielder Amankwah Forson has been named to the SkyBet EFL Championship Team of the Week following a stellar performance in Norwich City’s thrilling 2-1 victory over Coventry City.
Coming off the bench in the 85th minute, Forson scored two dramatic goals in the 91st and 94th minutes to secure the win for Norwich. His late heroics were even more impressive given his recent run of being an unused substitute in seven consecutive matches. Forson’s clinical finishing helped extend Norwich’s winning streak and highlighted his incredible impact in a crucial moment.
His outstanding performance earned him a well-deserved spot in the Team of the Week, alongside fellow Norwich midfielder Kenny McLean, who was also included. Forson has now scored two goals and provided two assists in 17 appearances for Norwich in the 2024-2025 season.
Forson will look to continue his form as Norwich City prepares for their upcoming FA Cup Third Round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, January 11, at 15:00 GMT.
